Until Now

When the things that make us tend to break us, we ask ourselves how can we be remade again? Who do I have to call my friend when they can't relate to what it is I've been in? Or how do we at least get our mind off of this line

this line... that I constantly see
this line... it's become a nightmare in the depths of my dreams

this line... doesn't allow me to sleep

this line... only places me in bed to weep.

I can't count sheep this time
But I can write what's on my mind.

I would call it venting until I get lost
It's like the pen took away my life at depressions cost.

Maybe i can learn not to cry there
I may not know what to do
but may I'm not supposed to know, or even think on it.

Maybe I should just do.

Would you kill me if I told you not to take life too seriously

For not relating but wishing to help thee?

Or would you sit and listen
consider what walls life built around you and forget them?

Because of our past, we think about our future. Not realizing our present needs us to present the solution.

Radiational Barriers

I couldn't call this a writer's block,
Because I already know of where I'm starting at.
The question is, "Where will I be when I stop?"
Can I afford to think past the extent?
Now if I do this, my mind's gotta be set.
Too many times have I thrown my thoughts in the trash.
Feeling dumb, but no longer shall I just let
lazyness come and cover me up in a mask.
I have a dream, better yet I have a vision.
It won't come to past without the hardships.
Now it's best to say that I'm on a mission,
and something has to manafest from it regardless.
It could be nothing because I'm always relazing
Or, the next step because I went about my business.
But which road have I stayed in contact with?
How can I use it to examinate my wishes?

I've clichéd the phrase that faith is dead without any work.
Soam I non-existant from being idle?
In other words, do I live a life without any worth
because I don't do the work that I subscribe to?
That would mean the broken bondages wait out until birth.
A man holding to nothing for survival.
My apathetical ways contribute to my own girth,
which means my own mentality is my rival.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not the crazy one here.
It's just a war that I fight, we all tend to face them.
But then again, when your dreams pop-up then disappear
then it's insanity when you choose not to create them.
What did I do all this time, I can't seem to recall.
And yet another opportunity just passes me by.
But no more need I let these slip pass me and fall.
They only rise in accordance with the way that I try.

This is the revolution of video gaming

I was looking around for some cool "Package Design" efforts and I happen to run into this little game. LOL, the piano wizard. What will they think of next? It's pretty cool, while at the same time, pretty funny. But just imagine where this game could take you. This could probably teach me to play an instrument (finally. But I prefer wind instruments.) You can catch the blues or get jazzed up on video games with a nice little package like this. What I do admire about this design is that it's quick, straight-forward and to the point...DIRECTLY. That's something I like at times. I guess the creativity of it is sealed inside somewhere. And it doesn't throw you off either. They want you to know that this thing is about a piano. But what caught me off guard was the fact it was called piano wizard. LOL. I think once the ball gets rolling for this thing, it'll be big hit. It'll definitely surpass Guitar Hero.

Adventurous Calendar

When you go on your little Civilian adventures, just remember to keep with you a handy dandy calendar. Without it, you'll lose track of time. Wondering how you got five years older in what only seemed to feel like five months. Hey it happens. My type of Calendars (The ones I consider for an adventure) are the ones with images. Specifically Landscaping Photography because it takes you on an adventure without words (or not necessary with words). Look at the one I posted up. The little lighthouse at the top by the waves is pretty pretty cool. I seriously don't know what it is about lighthouses but they truly do appeal to me in a subtle sort of way. Hmm, maybe I'm destined to travel to one. The closest I must have been to one in actuality is when I went over to Hilton Head. That's over in one of those Carolinian states, though I can't remember which one in particular. But yeah, lighthouses call out to me. I must be on a pathway of darkness with the lighthouse being my only way out. And I steady go towards it until the light flickers out.

The Poster overrides the Post...

If and whenever you get to a point of life where you don't know what to do next or where to go, remember to keep this in mind. What good is an event without an event poster? Sometimes you gotta look up at your mental bulletin board and see what event poster has been posted. If you happen to see nothing then that's when you make your own poster. Don't worry, it's a big opportunity for innovation. Create anything you want for display. Look at this poster I put up. I didn't even read it but it's advertising beautifully. That's going to be the greatest fun out of this. To be able to have fun to the point that you forget the forth coming event. It's all about the design of things I guess. No one wants to wait and sit there out of pure boredom. No, when EX-ing things out are called for then by all means Ex something out.

The Urban sides of Life

(I recently interviewed a Sub-Urbanite who told me about this store. Y'see, I was paying attention to "Urban Typography" that it showed. But he tried to "understand it." an intellectual indeed lol)

"The most relatable to the Urban scene is Urban Outfitters. I noticed how these people are with there... confinements. You walk down the streets and all your stores are next to each other like they were houses. I always wondered why the city couldn't invest in a mall. I mean, what is it about being outside. But when I finally saw some pictures of the city life on the internet, I fell in love with it. It's like an adrenaline rush. I love how people run across the street to race pass the vehicle that's so close to smashing into him. Alot of accidents here and there, it's wild. Very dangerous, yet adventurous. I can't wait to walk down D.C. with those White guys with their long tube stocks..."

There was much more to it but believe I laughed through the entire thing.

:D!!!...

Mickey :D's is universal...

Whoo!!! after a long day of work (At Shoppers Food Warehouse ^_~.) Sometimes you must sit down and grab yourself a bite to eat. What better place to go than the good old faithful McDONALDS!!! :D... As a kid i used to geek and feen for some McDonalds like it was a drug or something. Don't worry it's only bad to get addicted if you continously ask the cashier to please SuperSize. But that's been off the menu since that documentary release. Other than that, you can eat McDonalds all you want...lol. but yeah, check out the "Asian Typography" of McDonalds. Boy them Asians got themselves some good eating don't they? All those chinese characters are the coolest. No matter what character or word written in chinese, if it's written on a karate suit, it looks cool. It's better for me to put on a karate suit that has "McDonalds" written on it in Chinese than to put "BOB" in English on it. Every person I fight would then wonder "Who's Bob?" and then make jokes than actually fight. *sigh* so Chinese letters over English.

Old School

So, who can describe or define the meaning of "Old School"?

Could it be what today's generation call whack?
Or maybe it's what yesterday's generation have respect for?
Hmm... sounds like something that tomorrow's generation will never know of.

If that's the case, then Old school passes away. Do we renew it or do we let it disappear in the sandstorms of time? That only makes one margin of time worth living, which is the time of right now. Live life to the fullest before you're forgotten I guess.

That's one way of viewing things however, there is an optimistic way of seeing things. Let's define Old School by the history it holds.

See this picture I posted up here? That's a bit of old school. Typography at a bit of a historic time. I'd have to say it has a 1950s feel to it. A type of Jazzy type of style. The teenagers of this area probably favored going to Jazz clubs as opposed to GoGo clubs (I know, sounds discriminatory against time eras. Either I'm a time-ist or a generation-ist... You decide.) It seems interesting, does it not?

This is how you shine... -_-' ?

Look and notice these "Neon Lights" placed around to spell out the word Casino. Now If I look at that, then what am I supposed to perceive about it? Casinoes (If you can call it that) shine beautifully I guess. It appeals to so many people that they have to run to it. They race towards it at full-speed and strive to grab at its prize. That prize happens to be none other than money.

Money...
Is it your goal?
What advantage is it to gain, forfeiting your soul?

lol, seriously that money can be addictive to you. That's because money seems to get you access to almost everything you can see. But people are afraid to close their eyes and see without them. But if we closed our eyes, or at least turned our head from the materials that we see, then would we truly see something that we truly yearn for? Is love so close to us that we did not notice it, chasing this money? Well, I can't explain it all now, but this is just something to think about as you look at the work and effort placed into this "Neon Typography" ILLustration. Peer into that next level of intellect. Better yet call it Out-show-ect... (to be explained...:P).

One of my favorite Magazines

Oh, the joyful days of good ol' Nintendo Power. It's a beautiful thing. I like reading this magazine as a Nintendo fan because it just throws you into the mix of everything. You hear about the latest games and it encourages you to go out and buy the latest system. This cover is about 4 years old. The game it displays is none other than Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. I had so much fun with that game. The most embarrassing thing about it is that it took me 3 years just to complete it. (Due to complications and what not). But that's all good. I take my time with games like that. It's like a savor in the flavor. The game is like a pop-up book with its unique character and setting design. Thus through that, an attempt was made for the cover to seem to jump out to you. It goes to show that paper can come to life. Now that's a Civilian like feeling...

Fall deep into the pages
Let 'em flip pass you
for ages.

Because the Journal truly is a world of its own.

Amongst the most Innocent

Upon my journeys, I happen to stumble upon this nice little image. Consider it to be my contribution to child-like typography. A nice little elementary school setting. What I probably like most is the little message written in the bottom. I guess honesty counts for everything. One thing I find interesting is how the raccoon is pictured along as a little mascot. But why? aren't they lethal and packed with rabies and what not? The education metaphor is hilarious and this picture contributes to it.

Home Planner Store

It's stuff like this that makes me truly believe that American culture is not in an attempt to create new things. I don't know, It was just something about this that caught my attention. I want to shop at this store just because of its appearances. Looks can be deceiving but ignorance is bliss. Do you think they have a bathroom as cool as the one in my previous blog?

Now is that Art? You decide

We are messing with Typography. I don't understand the point of this assignment but I'm inclined to look at landmarks to see what style of Typography they use. I don't complain. No, This is a good tool and utility (I guess) that I can write about. Now, I ask this question. Is that Art we see on this bathroom door? Many people say it's vandalism and destruction of property. Others beg to differ and say it is an attempt to beautify. They call it Graffiti Art. I need to dabble into that style a bit. Only thing wrong is that I might not be in the right mode of EX-ing things out. You get markers and spray cans to make images and what not. Y'know, things that capture your eye. But knowing me, I might end up writing a book along the entire wall and stall of that bathroom LOL. There is a significance to this in a way. I don't understand why people make a big fuss of how presentable a bathroom is due to the basis of the art upon its walls. It's something cool to look at while I'm the bathroom. It's not like we live there right?

I guess to some people, it's not art unless it's in a frame.
